NOTIFIER INTRODUCES ADVANCED SMOKE
AND CO DETECTOR

New Combination Smoke/CO Detector Delivers Peace of Mind, Minimizes Nuisance Alarms

NORTHFORD, Conn., September 15, 2011 – NOTIFIER by Honeywell (NYSE: HON) introduces the IntelliQuad™ PLUS detector, offering carbon monoxide (CO) detection together with superior smoke detection and nuisance alarm rejection as part of an ONYX Series fire alarm system. One unit combines four sensing elements for smoke, CO, light/flame and heat to quickly and unequivocally verify a true fire or CO emergency. Separate signals for CO and smoke allow for ONYX systems to respond appropriately based on the event type.

Combined with the addressable B200S sounder base, the IntelliQuad PLUS serves as an all-in-one detection and notification unit, significantly reducing materials, installation labor and maintenance costs. The elimination of multiple detection devices improve a room’s aesthetics with only one device needed for fire and carbon monoxide detection. The affordability of this unique technology makes it an ideal solution for commercial sleeping spaces, including hotels, college dormitories, healthcare facilities and military housing as well as apartments or condominiums.
