NORTHFORD, Conn. – NOTIFIER, part of the Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Life Safety Group, recently obtained an FM (Factory Mutual) 6320 listing for its NFS2-3030 Fire and Gas Detection System. NOTIFIER is the only worldwide commercial fire alarm manufacturer that has the preferred and often required FM 6320 listing for gas detection equipment in industrial environments.
The NFS2-3030 Fire and Gas Detection System interfaces to industry standard 4-20 mA (milliamp) devices using NOTIFIER’s FMM-4-20 module. Through the FMM-4-20 module, the NFS2-3030 system can collect, display, and act on the data received from gas detection devices or hundreds of other commonly used sensors. The FMM-4-20 module connects to the NFS2-3030 via the SLC (Signaling Line Circuit), and is user programmable for up to five different thresholds, which can be individually labeled as any one of the following conditions: Fire, Security, Supervisory, Non-Fire Trouble, Pre-Alarm, Non-Fire, and Critical Process.
This new fire and gas detection system from NOTIFIER is suitable for use in a wide range of applications, such as schools, dormitories, office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, indoor swimming pools, manufacturing and industrial plants, and warehouses.
