NORTHFORD, Conn. – NOTIFIER's ONXY Series of intelligent fire alarm control panels is UL 864 Ninth Edition listed. As a world leading manufacturer of commercial fire alarm technology and systems, NOTIFIER, part of the Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Life Safety Group, has specifically engineered the ONYX Series of intelligent fire alarm control panels to speed alarm response, simplify maintenance and usability, and maximize flexibility.

The ONYX Series is comprised of the: NFS-320 for small applications such as restaurants, strip malls, and standalone retail facilities; the NFS2-640 for mid-size applications like office buildings, assisted living facilities, and school buildings; and the NFS2-3030 for larger installations such as high-rise buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, and airports.

All ONYX Series panels features NOTIFIER’s patented FlashScan® intelligent device polling protocol, which exceeds worldwide code requirements for response time. This, combined with ONYX Intelligent Sensing technology – an integral part of all ONYX Series panels – ensures a faster response to smoke and heat conditions while substantially reducing nuisance alarms. Each panel also offers built in synchronization protocol for System Sensor, Wheelock, and Gentex notification appliances.

To accommodate future facility growth and expansion, all panels have the ability to network together via the NOTI-FIRE-NET™ intelligent fire alarm network. And for installations requiring a single point of control over fire, security, CCTV, and access control systems, there is ONYXWorks™, a PC based graphical workstation that can unite life safety and security systems located throughout a building, city, state or even worldwide, through Local or Wide Area Networks.
